The year 2026 has already begun with a statement of intent. On 9th of January, Grey released his latest single, “CAN’T RAIN DOWN”, (feat. ripscvmmy), a stripped-back, emotionally charged track that captures the tension between vulnerability and emotional endurance, accompanied by a striking new music video that expands his dark, introspective sonic world.
The 2026 Roadmap:
Monthly Single Series: Throughout the first half of 2026, Matty will release a string of singles that explore the duality of his artistry—balancing the introspection found in his UNDERground mixtapes with the polished, rhythmic energy of his recent works.
Collaborative Projects: Following the success of “POP OUT,” several collaborations with emerging regional talent are slated for the second quarter, further cementing his role as a pivotal figure in the contemporary Hip-Hop and alternative scenes. “POP OUT” (feat. ripscvmmy) is a high-energy anthem that showcases his signature blend of sharp lyricism and atmospheric production. This track serves as the vanguard for a series of planned monthly drops designed to keep his growing “Grey Area” community engaged and submerged in his evolving soundscape.
Visual Narrative: In line with his previous “Visualiser” series for Dusk, 2026 will see a heavy emphasis on cinematic storytelling, with high-concept music videos planned to accompany major releases. The next two music videos dropping are ON ME and RIDDLE.
